Long Beach, CA: Childhood Obesity Conference

This will be the closing keynote to the 7th Biennial Childhood Obesity Conference, sponsored by the California Department of Public Health, UC Berkeley, the Atkins Center for Weight and Health, the California Department of Education, Kaiser Permanente, and the California Endowment.

It’s at about 11:30 a.m. in the Long Beach Convention Center.

This is a panel discussion moderated by Corby Kummer on “Can city food policies reduce disparities?  Lessons from New York and London.”  The other panelists are Sue Atkinson, the Joan H. Tisch distinguished fellow in public health at Hunter College and former director of public health London; Thomas Farley, Commissioner NYC Dept of Health and Mental Hygiene; and Derek Yach, Senior vice president, The Vitality Group.
